Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Program Integration Team (PIT). This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Telecommuting opportunities may exist.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Data scientist / Data analytics professional responsible for production of analytics dashboards using Tableau
The candidate is responsible for the followings
Design develop visualizations to assist management in decision-making
Understand Data preparation / cleaning and integrate various data sources
Understand and apply basic UX/UI fundamentals to improve user experience and consumption of large amounts of information from multiple datasets
Understand how to apply different visualization concepts (e.g. scatter plot, S-chart, heat map, etc.) and their applications in analytics reports
Understand design, develop scalable ETL pipeline processes & technologies

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance AND Special Program Access in a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Familiarity with SQL database platforms e.g., Microsoft SQL Server/ PostgreSQL
Experience with data preparation/cleansing
Familiarity with common data science toolkits such as Python/R
Experience with version control tools such as GitHub/GitLab/Gitbucket
Understanding of Agile Software Development
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Business Intelligence and Data Visualization experience using tools like Tableau, Cognos, or Power BI
Active in-scope DoD security clearance

This position reports to Roy, UT, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Unknown City, WY, WY, USA.
Salary Range: $66,600 USD – $99,800 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
