WHAT YOU’LL DO
Under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing, the Marketing Data Analyst is responsible for supporting our product-led, customer-centric growth motions by mining and analyzing quantitative and qualitative marketing data for insights into trends, emerging strategies, and competition. The successful candidate winning this exciting opportunity will create, implement, and maintain a routine reporting framework to improve data-informed decision-making capabilities across all marketing channels. Additionally, the Marketing Data Analyst will analyze demand generation efforts, including return on ad spending, selling funnels, and customer buying intent in our residential and enterprise segments. Other time will be spent advising other marketing functions, and analyzing A/B and Multi-variate tests, communicating results, and providing insights and recommendations. The Marketing Data Analyst will create PowerPoint presentations to provide market and consumer insights to other departments, ensuring campaign tracking management is capturing and reporting for relevant promotional activities and ad channels.
In this position, the Marketing Data Analyst will be tasked with special projects, including advising marketing strategists on annual budget optimization to ensure a data-informed approach to impacting revenues or cost-effectiveness of marketing activities. Another special project includes building and presenting a mid-year review of the marketing department’s data picture (impacting our universe of prospects, present, and past customers) to ensure all collaborators have quality information to refine plans, processes, and future marketing and selling activities.
Responsibilities
Creating, implementing, and executing a routine reporting framework to improve data-informed decision-making capabilities across all marketing channels (online and offline) (35%)
Analyzing demand generation efforts, including return on ad spending, sales funnels, and customer intent to buy our products and services (voice, data, and security) in our residential and enterprise segments (35%)
Identifying inefficiencies and efficiencies within the marketing and selling funnel
Advising other marketing functions (e-commerce/website, online/offline advertising, brand, product development) as the knowledge owner for customer and market data (10%)
Analyzing A/B and Multi-variate tests, communicating results, and providing recommendations (5%)
Creating PowerPoint presentations to provide market and consumer insights to other marketing and sales departments (5%)
Ensuring campaign tracking management is capturing and reporting for relevant promotional channels, including but not limited to paid search (Google, Bing), paid social (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), retargeting (AdRoll), display (GDN), forums (Quora, Reddit), SMS, publishers, and syndication partners for each conversion opportunity through close/won or lost sale (5%)

Typical Working Conditions
Work is almost always completed indoors in a quiet/low noise, climate-controlled office environment
Typical work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; may work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed to meet critical deadlines or respond to problems
Occasional driving necessary for traveling to events, tradeshows, and/or customer interactions
WHAT YOU NEED
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Statistical Analysis, Business Analytics, or Marketing preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in a related role
Computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Analytics
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to successfully achieve goals and objectives
Proficient in statistical analysis and marketing research
Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen
Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills
Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Ability to detect color is required for this position
Expected to learn on the job within 1-3 months – telecommunications industry-related regulations, policies and procedures, the target audiences, marketing structure and budgets, and organizational structure and budgets
